About Order Tags and Automation
Gain Access to the strength of automation and tag your orders based on simple or complex workflows of your preference.
Putting in tags can help you filter orders based on a particular set of yardsticks. For example, You can group orders in your Shopify admin that have been placed with a particular delivery method so that you can carry them out quickly. You can also filter orders placed by first-time customers so that a welcome gift can be placed in their order.
To build automation workflows for the processing and fulfillment of orders, tagging orders is an essential step.
Popular use cases include:
- Tagging orders from customers with multiple open orders
- Tagging orders with the selected delivery date, pick-up date from all of the popular Delivery Date Picker apps
- Tagging orders based on the zip code/postcode selected
- Tagging orders which contain out of stock products
- Tagging orders based on which location they will be fulfilled from
- Tagging orders which have been canceled to ensure they're not fulfilled.

Organize your orders
Tags are used to filter orders by creating workflows that can be either simple or complex based on your preference, from SKUs ordered to choose delivery dates.
Filter orders based on which location needs to fulfill them and make your fulfillment team's life easy.
Order Tagger offers you the feature to apply fixed tags when the order matches your workflow. These are tag names that you define in the workflow.
Dynamic tags are based on the value of certain attributes within an order, such as SKU codes, payment methods used, line item values, order note values or UTM tags values, and much more!
Shopify Flow connector
Along with all the features mentioned above, merchants can make use of our Flow Connector to trigger creative workflows. Order Tagger will send a trigger into Shopify Flow once it has processed a new order. The Flow can check for a condition e.g. a certain tag exists on the order - and if the condition is met, take an action like sending an email to your admin team or forwarding the order to a logistics partner via HTTP.
